Hi my name is Calvin Jacob Fontaine
This store isn’t run by a big company or a marketing team. It’s built by a real person rebuilding their life, learning as they go, and trying to create something honest and useful for others.
I’ve spent years around outdoor survival thinking, lightweight shelter concepts, and practical preparedness. What I’ve learned is that survival isn’t about expensive “tactical” gear or fantasy setups — it’s about staying dry, staying warm, staying mobile, and making smart, simple choices when resources are limited.
I’m building this store while focusing on staying healthy, staying housed, and showing up for my child. That’s the real motivation behind this project.
Why this store starts with budget-friendly gear
This shop is launching with affordable emergency basics — ponchos, tarps, simple shelter options, and practical survival items. Not because they’re the best gear on the planet, but because they’re accessible and useful for everyday people who want to be a little more prepared without spending a fortune.
As the store grows, I plan to introduce higher-grade Canadian-stock gear and upgraded versions of these same essentials. The philosophy stays the same:
